Join us this Earth Day for an insightful student-led panel discussion on “The Future of Energy” to explore how sustainability can reshape every form of energy, from renewable resources to innovative approaches in fossil fuels.
The event is scheduled for 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the Mountainlair, Mountaineer Room.
Engage with graduate students from the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, College of Law, and Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources as they discuss the complexities of balancing reliability, affordability and sustainability of various energy resources.
Jessica Moore, state geologist and and director of the state Geological and Economic Survey, will provide opening remarks.
The panel will be moderated by Shikha Sharma, Marshall Miller Professor of Energy in Geology and chief scientific officer of the WVU Institute of Sustainability and Energy Research.
