Jessica Sutton, an outdoor community development manager with the Brad and Alys Smith Outdoor Economic Collaborative who played a key role in welcoming remote workers to Elkins, received the 2024 Citizen of the Year award from the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce.
She also led the charge on the Elkins Riverfront Development Plan and founded the Elkins Area Shared Trails.
Described as a true champion for creating vibrant and connected communities, she continues to help communities across the state thrive through outdoor recreation.
Sutton was recognized during the annual Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce Dinner and Awards.
