The ADVANCE Center supports faculty, graduate students and leadership through professional development and networking opportunities, workshops, webinars and other resources focused on disrupting institutional inequities, team building, and personal and professional growth.
The ADVANCE team brings experience from various disciplines and units across campus to offer data-driven and outcome-based approaches to achieving individual goals and unit missions.
A number of ADVANCE events are open to the University community this semester, including biweekly writing support and dissertation groups, and professional development webinars for faculty and leadership.
The ADVANCE Center also offers ongoing initiatives, such as individualized consultations and Dialogues, a facilitator-led interactive process designed to improve climate, culture, and effectiveness across departments and organizations.
The Center also provides WVU campus community members free membership to the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity. NCFDD membership offers access to on-demand webinars, mentoring, discussion forums, workshops, dissertation success curriculum and other career development resources.
