The WVU Office of Sustainability will host a book recycling collection throughout the week of March 17 to help the University community recycle unwanted paper items from offices, storage rooms and more.
This recycling effort is primarily intended for hardback books, but individuals may also include paperback books, journals, magazines, spiral notebooks, hanging file folders and pamphlets.
Offices and teams should collect their items to be recycled, box them up and fill out this form to request a pickup of their items. The deadline to request a pickup is March 12.
Employees based on the Health Sciences area of campus do not need to submit the pickup request form. Instead, drop off the boxes in HSC South, Room G351A, near the receiving room before Friday, March 14.
For those who would like to recycle personally owned books, a public drop-off location will also be available in the lobby of Brooke Tower from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 12-14.
Due to limited vendor availability, we may not be able to offer this service on a biannual basis as we have in the past, so units are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this recycling opportunity.
Note that this book recycling collection opportunity does not include confidential document shredding needs. Learn more about shredding services, including pricing and acceptable shredding material.
