The West Virginia University Division of Campus Engagement and Compliance has launched a website with essential resources and information for students, faculty, staff and others across the WVU System.
The website includes compliance materials to support Titles VI, VII and IX, the Americans with Disabilities Act and youth protection.
Confidential reporting resources are available along with forms to file a complaint or report abuse.
Information is also included about programs and initiatives such as “Yappy Hour,” a partnership with Hearts of Gold Therapy Dogs, as well as ways to get involved on campus with WVU Peer Advocates and It’s On Us, which focus on addressing sexual violence and increasing active bystander awareness.
The website was developed as the University continues to engage with members of the campus community and key stakeholders in its review of recent federal and state executive orders related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
This is a system-wide, complex undertaking, and the University administration understands questions and concerns may arise about changes that could be required.
Administrators ask units to hold off making their own adjustments until WVU can provide specific guidance.
The University will share updates as it continues a thorough and thoughtful process to determine the next necessary steps. Meanwhile, questions should be sent to engage@mail.wvu.edu.
