WVU Career Services will host two career fairs this week designed to connect students and alumni with a wide array of potential employers.
The Business Career and Internship Fair, organized in collaboration with the John Chambers College of Business and Economics Center for Career Development, will be held on Wednesday (Feb. 12), and the Behavior and Social Sciences Career and Internship Fair on Thursday (Feb. 13).
Both events will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.
With more than 70 companies participating in the Business Career and Internship Fair, attendees will have ample opportunities to explore diverse career paths.
Participants include event sponsors Aldi and MegaCorp Logistics, as well as backpack and coat check station sponsors Baker Tilly, Cohn Reznick and Northwestern Mutual.
The Behavior and Social Sciences Career and Internship Fair welcomes students pursuing careers in social work, education, criminology, psychology, sociology and related disciplines.
This event will feature 50 organizations, including the Arlington County Police Department, First Ascent WV, Genesis Youth Crisis Center, WVU Medicine and the fair’s backpack and coat check sponsor Valley Health.
Professional attire is required, and complimentary professional headshots will be available for students.
Note the following parking adjustments on the Downtown area of campus to accommodate visiting employers.
On Wednesday (Feb. 12), street parking will be limited on North High, Fife, North Spruce and Prospect streets. On Thursday (Feb. 13), restrictions will apply to North High and Prospect streets.
The STEM Career and Internship Fairs, featuring top employers eager to recruit talent in STEM disciplines, are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 26 and 27 at the Student Rec Center.
We encourage students and alumni from all majors, along with faculty and staff, to participate in these enriching events. To make the most of the experience, attendees should research companies in advance and ensure their resumes are polished and ready.
We look forward to welcoming you to these dynamic events and appreciate your involvement in fostering a vibrant career-focused community at WVU.
