Faculty invited to apply for Governor’s Honors Academy

The Honors College is accepting proposals for faculty-led courses and presentations to be part of the 2025 Governor’s Honors Academy, slated for July 12-26 in Morgantown.

The two-week summer program helps young scholars explore the future of Appalachia through academic and extracurricular activities. 

Faculty proposals are being accepted in the following categories:

  • Intensive course
    $5,500 compensation with a two-week commitment required.

  • Broad-based course
    $2,590 compensation with a two-week commitment required.

  • Broad-based course
    $1,295 compensation with a one-week commitment required.

  • One-time full academy presentation
    $350 compensation 

  • Leading a group outing to Washington
    $1,000 compensation
