As part of a comprehensive 90-day study to collect valuable data and assess traffic patterns more effectively, Belmar Avenue and Waverly Street will shift to one-way operation beginning Monday (Dec. 16).
Ingress to the area will begin at the intersection of Price Street and Belmar Avenue, while egress will occur where Waverly Street meets Price Street.
“We appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents as we implement these changes,” said Damien Davis, Morgantown director of engineering and public works. “This study will allow us to learn how to better address traffic patterns which will increase safety and convenience for everyone living in the community.”
City officials advise residents to follow the new traffic guidelines as they are implemented and thank the community for its cooperation.
