WVU plans Pearl Harbor Day ceremony with 21-gun salute

The Center for Veteran, Military and Family Programs will mark the 83rd anniversary of the attacks and honor the lives lost at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Dec. 6) at the USS West Virginia mast and bell in front of Oglebay Hall.

The annual ceremony will include a 21-gun salute with three volleys being fired by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 548 and Post 9916.

The keynote speaker is Maj. George Davis, retired Military Intelligence/Aviation Officer in the U.S. Army and current commander for Chapter 45 of the Disabled American Veterans in North Central West Virginia.
