The new macOS Sequoia is being pushed to all WVU-owned or -managed computers today (Nov. 25).

Last week, Apple released a new, additional update for Sequoia (version 15.1.1) which will also be pushed to all WVU-owned or -managed computers at this time. All WVU Mac users, including those who have already updated to macOS Sequoia, can expect to see a notification to upgrade to the latest version for enhanced security updates.

WVU-owned or -managed Mac users will see a prompt to allow the update but can defer the installation for up to 10 business days. The update must be installed by Friday, Dec. 6.

This OS update can take up to an hour to complete and will require a restart of the computer, so Information Technology Services strongly recommends scheduling a time that will cause the least amount of disruption.
