Deduction holiday pay set for Nov. 29 paycheck

The Nov. 29 paycheck will be the third paycheck in November and will be considered a “deduction holiday pay” for 12-month benefits-eligible employees.

Benefit deductions will not be withheld, however, the following mandatory taxes and retirement deductions will be withheld: 

  • Federal taxes

  • State taxes

  • Social Security

  • Medicare

  • Retirement and

  • Supplemental retirements.

For benefits-eligible employees who are working fewer than 12 months (e.g., faculty members with nine-month contracts), the deduction holiday pay occurs on their first and last pay during their contract period.
