The other #MeToo: Men are survivors too

lonely person in a dark place

Faculty, staff and students are invited to explore the experiences of male sexual violence victims from 1-2 p.m. today (Oct. 18) on Zoom.

While our society is well aware of female victims, it is difficult for some to comprehend men as the targets of sexual violence.

Also, men usually do not see themselves as victims.

This session will explore how male victims are neglected and why we need to encourage male victims to recognize themselves as survivors — a small but important change in language that connotes resilience and empowerment.
