The Department of Chemistry, in collaboration with the Northern West Virginia section of the American Chemical Society, invites the public to attend a lecture by Harry Abernathy from the National Energy Technology Laboratory located in Morgantown at 6 p.m. today (Oct. 14) in Clark Hall, Room 112.
Abernathy will discuss the research taking place at the National Energy Technology Laboratory on high temperature energy conversion — hydrogen and air to electricity, and electricity and steam to hydrogen — in solid oxide electrochemical cells.
Professionals and graduate students in relevant areas such as chemistry and engineering will be invited to join the American Chemical Society.
Refreshments will be offered beginning at 5:30 p.m.
