The Research Office is offering sessions for the community to learn about features of the new system that will replace WVU+kc — the WVU Research Administration Portal — through Oct. 14 on Zoom.

The sessions are in preparation for the Jan. 13 launch of Grants, Agreements, Conflict of Interest and WVCTSI Clinical Trial Center of Excellence.

Register for a Zoom session to learn about the new Research Administration system.

You can also register for Set 2 of Bits & Bytes sessions, which begin Tuesday, Sept. 17. These sessions will focus on Funding Proposal and Award Management, and will provide information about Agreements and Conflict of Interest. A third set of Bits & Bytes sessions in October and November will provide information on freeze dates for submissions and WRAP training and support.

The new system and processes will support the growth of WVU research and reduce administrative burden by streamlining reviews and approvals, decreasing duplicative data entry, improving the visibility of submission status, keeping all correspondence in a single system, and ensuring compliance is built in at every step. Reviewers and compliance staff will also have more transparency in submissions, enabling them to be more proactive with PIs.

For the latest information, visit the Research Connect website or sign up for the new Research Community LISTSERV using these instructions. Note: Current users of WVU+kc have already been added to the list.
