WVU and WVU Tech domestic students registered for six or more credits and all international students are required to have health insurance — either on an existing plan or through the WVU Aetna student insurance plan.
This applies to employees and dependents of employees taking classes on campus or online, even if you or your dependents have insurance through PEIA.
Students who meet the waiver criteria may opt out of the WVU-sponsored Aetna student insurance by completing the Fall 2024 Waiver prior to the July 26 deadline.
