Surplus boards made from trees harvested in the Research Forest and milled by forestry staff and students in the Davis College will be on sale over the next several weekends in the parking lot of the Evansdale Greenhouse.
The air-dried, rough-cut lumber is at least one inch thick and will be available for purchase in random widths and lengths. The lumber will be sold by the board foot through cash and check only.
A different species will be featured each weekend.
Red oak, $4 per board foot, will be sold from 3-6 p.m. Friday (May 31) and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday (June 1).
Yellow poplar, $3 per board foot, will be sold from 3-6 p.m. June 7 and from 9 a.m. to noon June 8.
