Members of the campus community can drop off unwanted items at donation stations in Morgantown to support the sale beginning Monday (April 29) through May 8.
Acceptable items include, but are not limited to: furniture, clothing, appliances, décor, sporting equipment and electronics. Items must be in usable condition.
Donation stations will be available at the following locations:
University residence halls
Chateau Royale
The top of Falling Run Road
Mountaineer Station at parking lot Area 8
Grant Avenue near Summit Hall
College Park Apartments at the Willey Street entrance
The annual yard sale-like event will offer great deals on donated goods from 7 a.m. to noon and 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the East Concourse of Milan Puskar Stadium.
Admission is $5 for the 7 a.m. early bird session. General admission is free and begins at 9 a.m. All items will be 50% off during the evening session when admission will also be free.
Proceeds from the Blue and Gold Mine Sale benefit the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties. Annually, this event keeps around 25 tons of goods out of landfills.
