University Police holding self-defense training open to campus and local community

Self-Defense Training

Faculty, staff, students and Morgantown community members are invited to join University Police for a P.R.O.T.E.C.T. training to learn valuable self-defense techniques from 5-9 p.m. Monday (April 22) in the Student Health Building, Room 101.

P.R.O.T.E.C.T. is an immersive training that uses hands-on demonstrations to provide participants with the skills needed to recognize a threat, escape an attack and get to a safe place to call for help.

Participants will learn striking techniques, takedowns and escape holds and will gain information on developing situational awareness.

UPD recommends that participants wear comfortable athletic clothing.

Space is limited. Reserve your spot.
