Barnes & Noble has announced the promotion of Amanda Johnson to the role of general manager for the WVU Bookstore Group.

Johnson, who has been with the campus bookstores for 23 years, began her career as a high school senior at the Mountainlair Bookstore. After four years in that role, she transitioned over to the Evansdale Bookstore, where she served as the store manager for eight years.

She then returned to the Mountainlair Bookstore and managed the textbook department for nine years and served as assistant general manager for the past two years.

Throughout her time with Barnes & Noble, Johnson has built relationships with faculty and staff across campus and developed strong bookstore teams to give the campus community a positive shopping experience.
