TEDxWVU, a WVU student-run organization, will host “Move Mountains” at 2 p.m. Saturday (March 23) in the Mountainlair, Gluck Theatre.
The following dynamic speakers will discuss a variety of topics:
Noemi Borsay Hall, a WVU alumna currently working as a research epidemiologist in Morgantown, aims to shift perceptions of what it means to be a coal miner and shed light on the women working in the mining industry.
Petal Palmer, a senior exercise physiology major from Toronto who plans to attend medical school after graduation, will address the phenomenon of “cancer ghosting.”
Meshea Poore, vice president for the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, will discuss the encouragement that incorporating “just one yay a day” can bring to an individual.
Amy Yip, a life transformation and mental fitness coach, and a self-confidence trainer from Rockville, Maryland, will discuss why we should question our memories with our parents.
