The WVU Planetarium will present two in-person shows Friday (March 22). All shows are free and open to the public on a first come, first served basis.
The first show, “Tales of the Maya Skies,” will take attendees on an exciting journey back in time to the beautiful jungle city of Chichén Itzá and the world of the ancient Maya from 7-7:45 p.m.
The second show, “Oasis in Space,” will transport audience members on a startling and beautiful voyage through our universe, galaxy and solar system in search of liquid water from 8-8:45 p.m.
“Totality,” a specially curated show that will explore the phenomena of a total solar eclipse, will take place from 7-7:45 p.m. April 5. A second show will also be held in Spanish from 8-8:45 p.m.

The WVU Planetarium and Observatory serve thousands of people each year, including hundreds of WVU students. More than just an entertaining look at our universe, the planetarium features a variety of professionally created shows. Each show begins with a current sky show pointing out visible constellations, planets and other noteworthy astronomical objects.
