Named in honor of Neil S. Bucklew, the 21st WVU president, this recognition is given to the recipient who has best demonstrated outstanding leadership, courage and support on a continuous basis in the area of social justice in the West Virginia University System.
Faculty, staff and administrators who have been or are currently involved in the promotion of social justice are eligible. The $2,500 award may be used for professional development or directed to one of several WVU Foundation accounts.
To nominate an individual, submit a copy of the nominee’s resume and three letters of reference from current or past colleagues to Megan.Chambers@mail.wvu.edu by April 1.
Bucklew initiated the Social Justice Program in 1986, a forerunner to the recently restructured Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
