BOG Rules 3.5 and 5.14 out for public comment

Two West Virginia University Board of Governors Rules and associated documentation have been posted online today (Feb. 26) for public comment.

The following new BOG Rule is proposed for adoption: 

• Proposed BOG Finance and Administration Rule 5.14 — Deadly Weapons, Dangerous Objects, and W.Va. Campus Self-Defense Act

Additionally, changes are proposed to the following current BOG Rule:

•  Proposed BOG Talent and Culture Rule 3.5 — Employee Leave

The BOG Rules under review and summaries of the proposed Rules can be found on the Rules, Policies, and Procedures website.

The Rule revisions and associated documentation will be posted for public comment for 30 days beginning today and ending at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 27. 

All public comments received, or a summary thereof, will be posted on the University’s policy website for 10 days prior to the BOG taking final action. The Rules may be changed, subject to comments received.
