3-Minute Thesis Competition videos due today

3-Minute Thesis

Graduate students are encouraged to compete in the 3-Minute Thesis Competition, which challenges students to present their research in 180 seconds using just one slide.

Competitors must succinctly pitch their research to audience members and judges who have no background experience in their research area. Tiered cash prizes will be awarded to finalists without any obligation for future work or service.

Students must submit a video of their presentation by 11:59 p.m. tonight (Feb. 15).

A panel of judges will review submissions and select finalists to compete in a grand finale during Graduate Student Appreciation Week from 6 to 8 p.m. April 3.

This academic research communication competition was founded by The University of Queensland, Australia, and takes place at more than 200 universities each year.
