Fall 2024 admitted first-time freshmen are invited to participate in The Great Day on Feb. 29, a one-of-a-kind day meant to make college more affordable for students through scholarships, meal plans, laptops and other prizes.
Students can enter five essay contests on various topics by Feb. 26 to win a $1,000 scholarship or a meal plan package. Students are also invited to participate in social media challenges on the WVU X and Instagram accounts to win dining plans, Adventure WV trips, Mountaineer Maniacs memberships and more.
Students are encouraged to join wvu_2028 on Instagram to meet their classmates and participate in additional challenges, while parents are encouraged to join the “Official Families of the WVU Class of 2028” to participate in their own set of challenges.
Scholarships and prizes are provided by University Apartments to help ease the first-year financial burden at WVU.
