Recent and prospective WVU graduates interested in hybrid or remote work in any sector are invited to apply to First Ascent. The first of its kind in the nation, the program is ready to bring a transformative, holistic career experience to recent and upcoming WVU and Marshall University graduates.
Cornerstones of the program include professional mentorship and development, access to coworking spaces, outdoor recreation and community engagement. Each programmatic aspect serves as a solid foundation for emergent leaders to step into their full potential through purpose and connection.
Members choose one of six featured communities for the experience: Morgantown Area, Huntington Area, Eastern Panhandle, New River Gorge, Greater Elkins or Greenbrier Valley. Each community has its own unique blend of amenities, including abundant outdoor recreation, arts and music, and meaningful opportunities for public service.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by Dec. 1 to be considered for January 2024.
