WVU First-Generation Initiatives invites faculty, staff and students to help celebrate First-Generation College Week from Nov. 6-10.
Colleges, departments and units are encouraged to spotlight their first-gen faculty, staff and students on websites and social media, and/or host an event for first-gen individuals and their allies to gather. Activities can include hosting a snack or treat station, creating a photo booth with first-gen props or choosing one of the 101 Ways to celebrate.
Share all first-gen activities, no matter how big or small, by Wednesday (Nov. 1).
Mix and mingle at the WVU Networking Celebration from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Erickson Alumni Center. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate your journey, support the next generation of first-gen students and connect with your fellow trailblazers.
