To allow for milling, paving and shoulder work, the state Division of Highways will limit traffic on Willey Street from Spruce Street to WV 705 throughout the fall semester.
Previously planned to begin on Aug. 4, this work will now begin on Monday, Aug. 14, to accommodate increased traffic during residence hall move-in (Aug. 10-12).
Delays will occur from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The roadway will be reduced to one lane and maintained by flaggers for two-way traffic during this time.
Work is expected to be completed in November, though inclement weather and unforeseen circumstances may alter this timeline.
Students and employees who travel this route should expect delays and plan for additional travel time. Alternative travel routes include Falling Run Road and Stewart Street.
