Gov. Jim Justice issued a proclamation declaring Dec. 23, 2022, as a full-day state holiday for public employees. Since WVU already observed Dec. 23 as a holiday, the University issued a 3.75-hour floating holiday.
Effective July 1, any employee who has not used all available floating holiday hours through Applaud will forfeit those hours. The hours will be removed from the employee’s available floating holiday balance in the system.
