The WVU community is invited to fight back against cancer while honoring and remembering loved ones during the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Mon County and WVU from 6 p.m. to midnight tonight (April 14) in the Shell Building.
The event will include a ceremony honoring those who have battled cancer, live music, a Pilates class, crafts, a wing-eating contest and more. President Gordon Gee and the Mountaineer mascot will also make an appearance.
The event is free for those under 12 years old and $15 for all other participants. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
The student-led organization raised more than $23,000 for the American Cancer Society mission in 2022 and plans to raise $20,000 this year.
