To provide every eligible classified staff employee the opportunity to participate in the 2023 WVU Staff Council Election, the voting period has been extended until 6 p.m. Monday, April 17.

Any full-time and part-time regular classified staff member employed by WVU as of Feb. 1, 2023, is eligible to cast their ballot for candidates seeking the following seats:

  • Staff Council chair

  • Staff Council members representing each of the five classified staff job sectors

  • Advisory Council of Classified Employees (ACCE) representative

  • Staff Council Board of Governors (BOG) representative

Classified staff who work at WVU Beckley, WVU Keyser or the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Charleston Division are ineligible to participate in the election process except when voting for the Staff Council BOG representative, who serves all campuses.

All eligible voters should receive an email from Employee Relations with a link that will connect directly to the ballot.

Those who are eligible to participate in the election process but who do not receive the email should be sure to check their Clutter, Spam or Junk email folders to see if the message was redirected.

If voters experience any technical issues when casting their ballot, they should contact Employee Relations at EmployeeRelations@mail.wvu.edu.
