The Open Enrollment period for Plan Year 2024 for West Virginia University benefits-eligible faculty and staff will run through Monday, May 15.
Open Enrollment is your only opportunity to make changes to your elected insurance benefits for the 2024 plan year without a qualifying life event. All changes for Plan Year 2024 will be effective July 1, 2023.
On March 30, the PEIA Finance Board adopted an updated plan as a result of the West Virginia Legislature’s passing of Senate Bill 268. PEIA is currently working on the implementation of these changes.

Employees are encouraged to visit the Talent and Culture website to review their current coverage, evaluate their benefit needs, learn what’s new for Plan Year 2024 and make changes or additions to their benefits.
As part of this year’s activities, PEIA announced a series of Open Enrollment Benefit Fair dates and times. Employees and retirees are welcome to attend one of these events and speak with representatives of the PEIA PPB Plans, the Health Plan, Securian Financial Group, Humana and Mountaineer Flexible Benefits.
