WVU Engaged Scholar Institute announces inaugural cohort

Flying WV

The Office of the Provost and the Center for Community Engagement are thrilled to announce the launch of the Engaged Scholars Institute at WVU.

The inaugural cohort of 23 scholars, selected for their dedication to community engagement, will be crucial in advancing scholarship, promotion and tenure support, and community engaged practices at WVU.

This unique program is designed to foster engagement among scholars and provide the support and resources needed to excel in academic pursuits while making a positive impact on students and communities.

The program will also offer tips and guidance to navigate the intricacies of community engagement including developing strategies for classroom best practices and  measuring and evaluating impact and equity in partnerships.

Community engagement is an essential part of academic excellence and the ESI is committed to supporting and promoting community engaged practices across all WVU schools and colleges.

We look forward to seeing the innovative and effective partnerships that will emerge from this program.
