The Watts Museum will host an opening reception for the new exhibit "Mineral Matters: Artmaking and West Virginia's Mineral Resources" from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Mineral Resources Building Atrium.
This exhibit features contemporary artworks that highlight West Virginia's mineral resources — interpreting them in personal, practical, ecological, ancestral or other conceptual ways.
"Mineral Matters" includes paintings, sculptures, photography, drawings, jewelry and mixed media works by nineteen artists.
