West Virginia University Institute of Technology is recognizing members of its campus community who have graduated as part of the Class of 2025 of the Leadership Beckley program cohort.

WVU Tech students include the following:

  • Gracie Beaver, psychology

  • Logan Oliver, information systems

  • Lucas Sabbadin, business management

Leadership Beckley is a premier community leadership development program designed to enhance participants’ understanding of local issues, strengthen leadership skills and foster meaningful engagement throughout the Beckley and Raleigh County region.

Through this experience, participants build lasting connections while gaining insight into the challenges and opportunities shaping the community.

Reflecting a strong, campuswide commitment to community engagement and leadership development, the cohort also includes faculty member Yogendra Panta and staff members Amanda Baker, Latishche Hamby and Manju Panta.

“Having students like Gracie, Logan and Lucas participate in Leadership Beckley has a significant impact on our community,” Leadership Beckley Committee Chair Alyce Almond said.

“Their involvement bridges the gap between academic learning and civic leadership, fostering a vital connection between our future professionals and the local business landscape. I am grateful to help facilitate this bridge and look forward to continuing our partnership with WVU Tech for future classes.

“WVU Tech is committed to developing the next generation of community-minded leaders,” WVU Tech Dean of Students Dan Sepion said. “Our students’ success in Leadership Beckley underscores the relationship between our University and the city; we appreciate that the city has provided an experience that has been so meaningful to our students.”

WVU Tech looks forward to the cohort’s continued contributions to the region through leadership, service and professional excellence.
