West Virginia University Police will participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday (Oct. 29).
A medication disposal kiosk will be available all day in the lobby of the WVU Police headquarters at 992 Elmer Prince Drive, Morgantown.
“This is really an opportunity for members of our campus community to get rid of medicines that may be in their residence hall rooms, apartments or houses so we can keep those medicines from becoming dangerous,” WVU Police Chief Sherry St. Clair said. “This is a community service. No questions are asked about medications that are dropped off for proper disposal.”
The kiosk is not just available on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day which involves locations across the United States. Students, employees and local residents have access to the WVU Police disposal kiosk year-round, 24-hours a day.
Call WVU Police at 304-293-3136 with questions.
