Davis College fashion, dress and merchandising program ranked among top 50 in nation

WVU Textile Studio

The fashion, dress and merchandising program at West Virginia University has ranked in the top 50 fashion merchandising colleges and schools in the United States.

Fashion Schools ranked the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design program No. 16, ahead of schools such as Baylor University, Auburn University and North Carolina State University.

The rankings are based on admission data and selectivity, depth and breadth of the program and faculty, graduation success, academic reputation, value related to tuition and indebtedness as well as geographic location.

According to Fashion Schools, it compiles information about programs and careers in fashion for students interested in higher education. By providing degree information about hundreds of schools, it helps “simplify the selection process and gives potential students more time to dedicate to evaluating the schools’ programs — instead of searching for program information.”

Fashion, dress and merchandising students at Davis College can choose between a focus on merchandising or design. Students also have access to internship opportunities, which are necessary for graduation from the program.
