Dr. Dhairya A. Lakhani, chief diagnostic radiology resident in the School of Medicine, has been named the 2022 Radiological Society of North American William W. Olmsted Trainee Editorial Fellow.
This fellowship is for residents and fellows in training who are interested in scholarly publication and editorial processes at medical journal offices.
“The Radiological Society of North America board of directors selects one qualified candidate each year from a pool of extremely competitive applications, and I am very proud of our very own Dr. Lakhani to be selected this year,” Dr. Jeffery P. Hogg, professor emeritus of radiology and neuroradiology, said.
As an Olmsted fellow, Lakhani will learn about manuscript preparation and editing, peer review, journal production, printing and digital publishing from the editors of Radiology and RadioGraphics who have led medical journalism, and pioneered educational content and scientific advancement in the field of radiology.
He will receive a $3,000 stipend from the RSNA to fulfill the requirements of the fellowship.
