Vagner Benedito, professor of biochemical genetics in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, will explore the ethical and unethical use of science during his Honors College Faculty Fellows webinar at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6.
The use of science is important to advancing our understanding of the world; however, it can also be dangerous and destructive if used unethically. During this presentation, Benedito will discuss how science and scientists interact with society, the limits of what science can provide, the scientific process to build knowledge of the scientific ethos and infamous cases of scientific misconduct.
