West Virginia University conducted a test of its WVU Alert emergency messaging system on Wednesday (Aug. 24).
If you did not receive an email or text message during this test, visit alert.wvu.edu to add or update your contact information and ensure it is correct. Faculty and staff must manually register their email addresses and cell phone numbers to receive WVU Alerts.
We encourage all employees and students to follow the @WVUalert Twitter, the @WVUsafety Twitter, and the WVU Safety and Wellness Facebook page to receive important updates. Students can also utilize the LiveSafe app to receive messages. Other app features include the abilities to anonymously report tips to WVU Police through direct two-way communication, and to virtually walk home with friends or family.
