WVU book recycling pickup request ends

books

The deadline to request a pickup is today (July 6) for the Office of Sustainability’s second book recycling collection for 2022. This book recycling program is designed to help colleges, departments and units recycle unwanted paper items from their offices and storage rooms.

The program primarily is intended for hardback books, but faculty and staff also may include paperback books, journals, magazines, pamphlets, hanging file folders and notebooks with spiral binding.

Those employees based on the Health Sciences campus do not need to submit a pickup request form. Health Sciences employees can drop off their boxes to room G351 near the Receiving Room before Friday (July 8).

This special pickup service does not include confidential document shredding needs. Visit the Office of Sustainability website to learn more about shredding services, including pricing and acceptable shredding material.

Beginning today through Friday (July 8), faculty, staff and students also may drop off their personally owned books at the Potomac Room in the Mountainlair between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
