Jessie Barclay has been named the assistant director of professional development at the WVU Career Services Center. Barclay will be responsible for all student-centered career and professional development activities, including career counseling appointments, campus-wide presentations and for-credit career courses.
Her journey at Career Services began as a graduate student while completing her master’s degree in counseling at WVU. She then returned as a full-time career counselor, serving as the career development specialist for the Agriculture and Natural Resources Career Pathway for the past seven years.
“Jessie has provided passion and leadership to our office. I look forward to her applying her experience and commitment to excellence in her new role leading our student programming,” said Dave Durham, director of Career Services. “She will be filling a critical role in the leadership team at Career Services.
