Campus drop-off location available for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Medication disposal kiosk

West Virginia University Police will participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday (April 30). A medication disposal kiosk will be available all day in the lobby of the headquarters for WVU Police, 992 Elmer Prince Drive, Morgantown.

“As students are closing out the semester and packing up, this is a good opportunity for them, along with other members of the campus community, to sort through medications and safely get rid of what is no longer being used,” WVU Police Chief Sherry St. Clair said. “This is a community service. No questions are asked about medications that are dropped off for proper disposal.”

The kiosk is not just available on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day which involves locations across the United States. Students, employees and local residents have access to the WVU Police disposal kiosk year-round, 24-hours a day.
