A team of three WVU undergraduates, Bryanna Buker, Andrew Franklin and Abigail Smith took third-place in the 2022 Schuman Challenge, an annual foreign policy competition sponsored by the European Union Delegation to the United States.

The 2022 competition featured 22 teams from universities across the nation. Each team developed a detailed proposal and delivered a presentation to a panel of expert judges on the question “How should the EU and the US collaborate in Afghanistan?”

WVU has competed in the Schuman Challenge since 2018. The teams are advised by Jay Cole and Clarissa Estep.
