Faculty, staff and students may be unable to log into many WVU systems between 11:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9, and noon Sunday, April 10, while Information Technology Services relocates physical servers and makes important security updates to our single sign-on systems.
The Virtual Private Network should remain available throughout this period, but Microsoft 365 services such as Outlook, Teams and SharePoint may be inaccessible.
Services that will be affected include: Portal; STAR and STAR-related systems; eCampus; MAP; Applaud; Salesforce; Jira Service Management (it.wvu.edu/help); TeamDynamix; High Performance Computing; Kuali (WVU+kc); WVUHire (Taleo); Mountaineer Marketplace; MyExpenses; and UKG (formerly UltiPro). The login.wvu.edu self-service site will also be unavailable, and you will be unable to log into any WVU Zoom or HSC Zoom meetings requiring a login.
Several services that authenticate through a different system will be available. Those include: the WVU.Encrypted, WVU.Guest and WVU.Play wireless networks; the 25 Live room reservation system; and the SOLE system at Health Sciences.
It’s common to see an error message when trying to log in after a system update. If you have problems once this work has been completed, try clearing your web browser history, closing your browser and relaunching it. Rebooting your device will also clear cached pages. If you still have problems after taking these steps, please call the ITS Service Desk 304-293-4444.
