REMINDER: Duo will be required March 28 for remote access to all on-campus computers and servers

WVU employees who are remotely accessing on-campus computers or servers without using the Virtual Private Network or another ITS-supported service must begin using a compliant method before Monday, March 28. 

As part of the University’s ongoing efforts to better protect institutional data and meet various compliance requirements, Duo two-factor authentication will soon be required for off-campus access to all on-campus laptops, desktops and servers. 

If you are using an unapproved method that does not require your WVU Login credentials and Duo, such as a third-party remote access app, it will cease to function. 

Contact the IT support team for your college or department to set up an alternative access method or call the Service Desk at 304-293-4444 if your college or unit is supported by Information Technology Services.

This change has already been implemented at the Health Sciences Center, but HSC employees with questions can contact the HSC ITS Help Desk at 304-293-3631 Option 1.
