Beginning today (March 22), all instructors and faculty should receive an email to complete the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement. This survey is designed to complement the National Survey of Student Engagement, which will be distributed to undergraduate students later this week.
Since 2003, more than 304,000 instructional staff from more than 870 institutions have responded to FSSE, which helps four-year higher education institutions collect information from their instructional staff. It focuses on:
Instructional staff perceptions of how often students engage in different activities.
The importance instructional staff place on various areas of learning and development.
The nature and frequency of instructional staff-student interactions.
How instructional staff organize their time, both in and out of the classroom.
The deadline to complete this survey is April 6.
