The Office of the Provost will continue its monthly Campus Conversations focused on academic transformation topics and initiatives to engage the wider University community in dialogue about these efforts.
The second session “Academic Transformation: Student Success and Academic Advising” is scheduled for today (Feb. 24) at 11 a.m.
This session will be held in person at the Erickson Alumni Center (Salon A) and offer a virtual option via Zoom webinar as well. The Zoom webinar will go live five-to-10 minutes before the event starts.
All WVU faculty, staff and students are invited to join Provost Maryanne Reed and Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education Evan Widders as they discuss strategies for improving student success, with a focus on strengthening the undergraduate academic advising model to better serve students and improve the University’s retention, persistence and graduation rates. Matt Mustard, an associate director with EAB – a higher education consultancy with whom the Provost’s Office is partnering on these efforts – will also present data on national trends and best practices and will be available to answer questions.
Questions may be submitted before the event to academictransformation@mail.wvu.edu.
Visit the Provost’s Office Academic Transformation website for more information. Future events will be added to the Campus Conversation portion of the site.
