Employee training paused

West Virginia University will pause the employee training module “Discrimination & Harassment Prevention & Meridians” due to factual errors discovered in the content and the need to address the length of the training. This required training was announced on Feb. 3.

The University wants to ensure that employees are being presented the most accurate information, as well as modify the length to account for employee schedules. The University is committed to this training and wants to ensure it is delivered in a way where employees will actively engage and participate.

Employees who have not yet taken or completed the training will be notified when a revised training is available. Those who have started but not completed should pause and take the new training.

For those who have already completed the module, an email with updated information will be sent to those employees directly. They will not need to re-take the training.

The University will work quickly to adjust the module and resume the training. It is anticipated the revised module will be available early next week. Until then, resources regarding discrimination and harassment prevention can be found at safety.wvu.edu.
