The Black Student Union at West Virginia University will host its first Black History Month Convocation Sunday, Feb. 27, at 5 p.m. in the Gluck Theatre of the Mountainlair. This event aims to gather as a community to reflect upon, celebrate and exalt the Black presence in West Virginia, both historically and contemporarily.
At 3 p.m., local community members, students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to mingle and network with local Black leaders while enjoying light refreshments at the Pop-Up Shop in the Mountainlair Vandalia Lounge.
Individuals or organizations interested in reserving a table for this event should fill out this form.
The mission of the Black Student Union at WVU is to spread unity among the entire University campus by creating a sense of a collaborative community between students, faculty, staff, alumni and Morgantown citizens through interactive social events while representing the interests and concerns of students of African American descent to the WVU administration.
The Black Student Union welcomes any and all attendees who wish to join us for a celebration of Black history.
